This session will report on some observations about how the degree of convergence of physical and cyber security is evolving in larger organizations from a number of industries as they seek to optimize security outcomes.
Herbert Mattord, Ph.D., CISM, CISSP completed 26 years of IT industry experience before joining the faculty at Kennesaw State University in 2002. He was the Manager of Corporate Information Technology Security at Georgia-Pacific Corporation, where much of his practical knowledge in information security was acquired. He is on the faculty at Kennesaw State University with the rank of Professor where he teaches Information Security and Cybersecurity. He serves as the Director of Education and Outreach for the Institute for Cybersecurity Workforce Development (cyberinstitute.kennesaw.edu). He is the co-author of several books published by Course Technology and an active researcher in information security management topics.
